What is:
Personal life coaching creates clarity out
of confusion much like a searchlight reveals the way through
darkness. Coaching
is also a form of support, or buoy, that helps keep us afloat while
swimming through deep and unfamiliar waters of life. A coach
is an objective, caring, companion who will challenge and hold
the client accountable as designed in the coaching agreement. |
“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed
by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So
throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch
the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
~ Mark Twain |

I Point the Light - You Point the Way.
Coaching is not therapy or counseling. The
focus is not on pathology, or problems. Instead, the
client is treated as whole and resourceful. The coach
asks powerful questions to help the client discover their
own best answers.
This relationship is different, too than a friend or family
member can offer. Those who have a stake in the outcome
of our choices tend to offer their advice in conversations. They
have a difficult time in not voicing their best choices for
us.
The coach/client relationship is a form of communication
that opens the mind to fulfillment and joy. I use a
form of Transformational Coaching where
clients choose to transform or stretch their visions, values,
and abilities. In the work of changing our meaning
systems, finding new perspectives, and getting out of the
way of ourselves, as a coach, I become an advocate for your
best self. Research shows that individuals have their
own best answers—as to what will bring them fulfillment—within
themselves. Learning exists within us, not
in books and external forms.
Human development coaching combines the
best of personal life coaching and transformational coaching,
to become a hybrid form of dialogue.
How does it work?
Picture the content of the coaching dialogue like a pool
of water that surrounds the client. This pool represents
the entire life, mind, spirit and heart of the client. The
coach is invited to step into the water for the sake of
the client. Their work will be to swim, play, splash,
dive, float, and snorkel through dialogue, while looking
for that which will bring the client more fulfillment. The
coach must be willing to step into the client’s life
fully, with respect, confidence, trust, and authentic belief
in the client’s desire for growth and transformation.
I encourage and support you in getting where you want to be
in the doing and being of life!

The best way to know if you will like coaching is to try it!
I offer a free sample coaching session for those who are ready
to move toward living a more fulfilled life. Give me a call! A
session is 30-45 minutes in length and typically is held by phone.
In coaching, we want to focus on developing your ability to tap into
this essence of who you are. So many things get in the way of
believing in ourselves, in our worth, our potential, and in living
out of this way of being. We all have a saboteur, or negative
self-talk that can, and often does, keep us small. This voice
has a way of allowing us to put off stepping into who we want to be. Fears,
objections, excuses, distractions, all line up to keep us in the status
quo. However, there is always a sense of purpose that drives
us to want to peel away the protective layers that hold us back.
Doing this on our own is more difficult than with the help of a coach
who holds you completely capable of whatever you want out of your precious
life. As a coach, I will help you counter those excuses and help
you notice how they get in your way. Once you notice these issues,
they begin to lose the power they have to hold you back.
No matter what your life purpose looks like, whether it involves your
work, your parenting, your social life, your single life, or your life
as a juggler of it all, it is the most important aspect of who and
how you are in the world. I’d like to help you step onto
your path toward making the most of it.
